My career is built on nearly eighteen years of solid successes and learnings with startups and global giants. Storytelling is a passion. New product or brand launches are thrilling. I excel at problem solving, cultivating relationships, managing stakeholders and delivering measurable results. And I love what I do.

Today I am the Head of Product Marketing at Road, an Amsterdam-based scale up at the cross-section of fintech and cleantech that is making electric vehicle charging transactions effortless for everyone. My focus is building out a team that can position, communicate and enable sales of SaaS solutions to customers across the value chain.

My past is a rich blend of tech and agency roles. At Connecterra, I was responsible for global marketing efforts for the startup using A.I. to make farming more sustainable. I helped millions of Booking.com’s accommodation providers around the world communicate their sustainability initiatives to prospective travelers. At Pandora Radio, I led launches and campaigns for connected home and car. I oversaw digital growth marketing for the Southeast Asian mobile app, Yonder Music. I collaborated with Rdio’s global partners to acquire new listeners. And before succumbing to the siren song of Silicon Valley, I was a bonafide madwoman, managing multi-million dollar campaigns for scale ups, entertainment companies and international financial investment firms.

Of course there is much more to this story than a CV. After growing up in small-town Arkansas, I headed west...first to the University of Texas at Austin for degrees in Advertising and American Studies and then to San Francisco. My life was forever altered in 2014 with a solo sabbatical across six continents and 20 countries. My career brought me to the Netherlands in 2018, where I’ve acclimatized to living approximately 2 meters below sea level and began my professional journey in climate/clean tech. I am passionate about music and the outdoors. After hours you will find me running/at a yoga studio, throwing pots, teaching my British husband how to speak American [English] and negotiating for couch space with our Whippet-terrier mix.

A few things I believe in…

  • People first.

Companies don’t build businesses. Humans do. And we are messy, complicated, emotional creatures. Our imperfections influence our performance. I believe that real empathy coupled with collaborative problem solving can help overcome individual struggles. Which is how we create the brands, narratives and products our customers love.

  • Listen before speaking.

Active listening is a valuable practice. I never know what I might learn from someone else. Their perspective can be an affirmation or a challenge to mine. If nothing else, we spend so much time inside our own thoughts. It’s refreshing to hear other ideas uncolored by mine.

  • Balance data and creativity.

Numbers should absolutely inform our ideas. They give direction and increase confidence in decisions -- especially when those numbers have euro or dollar signs attached to them. But I believe true innovation requires us to set aside the spreadsheet and use our imagination.

  • Tell the right story.

Of course, this is no easy feat even with hard work. I’ve spent 2 days building sales decks that flopped 2 minutes into the pitch. But I’ve also experienced the absolute magic of delivering the right story to the right audience at the right time and place. Like seeing an executive nod during a presentation. Or a customer laugh at the joke in an advertising headline. Those moments keep me pushing for more narrative gold.

  • Always keep a sense of humor.

Seriously. This life is way too short to go without it.
